Inventory and Supply Chain Management Calculators
Below you will find 4 free calculators for computing values associated with corporate inventory and supply chain management:
1 Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Calculator
This calculator will compute the economic order quantity (EOQ) for a product or item, given the annual demand for the item, the annual carrying cost per unit of the item, and the fixed cost of placing and receiving an order. The economic order quantity is the reorder quantity for a product or item that minimizes both administrative and carrying costs. The EOQ is critical for inventory planning decisions.
2 Inventory Reorder Point Calculator
This calculator will compute the point at which an item in inventory should be reordered in order to avoid running out of stock, given the item's average daily sales, the lead time for replenishing the item, and the item's safety stock level. The reorder point is specified in units of inventory for the item of interest. When inventory levels for the item fall below the reorder point, the item should be reordered immediately to avoid running out of stock.
3 Sales to Accounts Payable Ratio Calculator
This calculator will compute the sales to accounts payable ratio, given the accounts payable balance and the amount of sales. Larger values of the sales to accounts payable ratio indicate that a company pays its suppliers quickly, while smaller values indicate that the company pays its suppliers slowly.
4 Sales to Inventory Calculator
This calculator will compute a company's sales to inventory turnover ratio, given the total value of the products in the company's inventory and its total sales. Small values of the sales to inventory ratio can indicate that a company has overestimated its sales, has slow-moving goods, or has an overstocking problem. Large values can indicate that a company has an inadequate investment in inventory, which may cause lost sales or poor customer service.
